We were so fortunate to have the privilege of meeting the artist, Patrick Dunning, himself as he was featured in our PRIDE kick-off assembly at York Suburban.
I was so blown away when the PRIDE committee members were invited to become a part of the project -woooo hoooo I'm on the PRIDE committee - because during most of the presentation all I could think was "I want to sign my name".
I shook the artist's hand and told him what an honor it was to be able to sign my name to his work. He told me that it wasn't his work but our work and that he was honored to have me sign it. I cried - a little bit .
And then I signed my name.
